Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman, the Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is at University of California Davis. Her name is widely praised for her pioneering the science of the eyewitness memory of children and using child victims to be legal witnesses. Her publications are numerous and she has been awarded numerous grants and has been the recipient of many honors international and national levels. She has advised numerous authorities and government agencies around the world about policies as well as research related to child victims by the legal system. She serves as a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly known as Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She was a part of several professional associations, including those of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family policy and practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman is also a part of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She is the former President of the American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy as well as Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
