Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn is an American actress. Her most well-known role was as Skyler on AMC's drama Breaking Bad. She won the Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Performance in Drama Series for 2013 and 2014. Other roles she has played are Jean Ward in The Practice as well as Martha Bullock from Deadwood. Anna Gunn, born 1968 in Sante Fe New Mexico fell in Love with Acting in Preparatory before her Family moved to Ohio. She did theatre studies at Northwestern University, and spent one semester at British American Drama Academy. Anna was a part of a couple of seasons working in Chicago theater before transitioning to film and TV roles. Anna was cast as Arden in the TV show Down the Shore in the 29-episode show Down the Shore. Following her appearance as a Guest Actor in a variety of TV Shows and Films, including Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue during the 90's and was later given the role of Jean Ward as part of The Practice. The mid-2000's saw her was cast in Deadwood in the role of Martha Bullock for two full seasons. In 2008 she was cast as Skyler as Skyler in Breaking Bad. Sully was one of her roles. Gunn appeared on stage to star in David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers. She also appeared in the audio drama podcast series of four parts called Numbered Days, which was made available in 2022. The relationship with Walter White and his wife Skyler is often the backbone of the narrative of Breaking Bad with the strained pull on their relationship and its eventual demise arguably echoing the same storyline of Walter White's final days of life.
